    • Note: Must show race bib upon exiting to receive $3 promotional parking rate
  • On Street Parking is also available throughout downtown Springfield

Schedule of Events
7:30 AM – Admission to the Springfield Science Museum and The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum begins. Registered participants with a bib receive free admission; standard admission rates apply for non-participants. Welcome Center, Springfield Science Museum

7:30-11:00 AM – Family activities and games, Quadrangle Green

10:00 AM – Character Breakfast, SIS Hall, Wood Museum of Springfield History

10:00 AM – Additional museums open, D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts, GWV Smith Art Museum, Wood Museum of Springfield History

Outdoor Activities on the Quadrangle Green (free to all)
Join in the outdoor celebration on the Quadrangle Green! Meet the Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2! Dance along with the children’s Bubble Dance Party, play Seussian carnival games, and express your artistic side in our pop-up art studio.

Indoor Activities (with museum admission)
Inside the Science Museum, families will find live animal demonstrations, experiments with the Roving Scientist, and the special exhibition Once Upon a Time: Exploring the World of Fairy Tales. In the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum, children will play Seuss Trivia and participate in a project in The Cat’s Corner.

Price per person: $12, ages 3 and up

Buffet featuring bagels and cream cheese, croissants, scones, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, quiche bites, coffee, juice and water bottles.

In addition to meeting the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2, children will decorate their own hats and play in the interactive play space “Hasbro GameLand.”
